Some of the best weather in the UK occurs in June, but the great British climate remains as unpredictable as ever, even during the summer.

The best way to avoid the old ‘Will it? Won’t it?’ UK rain debate is to jet off on your jollies for a couple of weeks and experience some tropical sunshine.

Together with long-haul experts Destination2.co.uk we’ve come up with a list of the most luxurious destinations to visit in June 2017.

Pangkor Laut, Malaysia

If you’re looking for the ultimate 5 star luxury experience this June, look no further than Pangkor Laut, off the coast of western Malaysia. This privately owned island is home to one of the most luxurious, if not THE most luxurious resorts in the country. The stunning infinity pools, the delicious cuisine and the breathtaking natural beauty are just some of the reasons why this is a playground for the rich and famous.

Guests stay in traditional sea villas on stilts, which all feature luxury amenities. Speaking of amenities, the resort also features seven top of the range restaurants, which cater to a wide variety of tastes, including Italian and traditional Malaysian cuisine.

It will come as no surprise that Pangkor Laut island is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with white sands and stunning turquoise waters. Don’t fancy swimming in the sea? No problem – the resort’s incredible infinity pools overlook the sea, and provide the perfect tropical paradise for couples and families.

Hua Hin, Thailand

If you’re looking for a luxury Thai holiday with a difference, consider Hua Hin. This resort is located on the Gulf of Thailand, and is famous for once being the summer residence of the Thai royal family. The sands here are golden and perfect for soaking up some of the glorious Thai sunshine, but there’s so much more to do here away from your sun lounger.

Take a stroll through this interesting town and immerse yourself in some traditional Thai culture, amazing street food and bustling markets.

As a lesser known part of the country than some of the southern islands, Hua Hin is home to some of the most luxurious resorts in the country. One of our favourites is the Asara Villa and Suite Hotel, which boasts a five star rating and a convenient location. Boasting an exclusive private beach, it’s the perfect place for relaxing and taking a break from modern life.

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

Located around 1,100km off the coast of Madagascar, Mauritius is an island paradise that enjoys warm to hot temperatures throughout the year. Due to its mountainous terrain, Mauritius has a natural beauty that’s unrivalled by any other island in the Indian Ocean, and the island’s mountain ranges slope to white sands into the sea.

The island’s turquoise lagoons are protected from the ocean by the world’s third largest coral reef, which surrounds Mauritius. They’re perfect for snorkelling and discovering some colourful sea creatures, as well as partaking in a wide variety of watersports for the brave! The beaches themselves are perfect for topping up your tan, and the sugar white sand with palm fringed seas make for some amazing photo opportunities – no filter required.

One of our favourite 5 star hotels in Mauritius has to be the incredible Outrigger Mauritius Resort. This stunning hotel is perfect for the whole family, and features some of the best restaurants on the island, catering to a wide range of tastes and specialities. Each room features a private balcony or garden among other luxury amenities for you to enjoy.
