Classic cars generate a huge interest from collectors and car enthusiasts alike, often fetching huge prices at auction. One of the biggest attractions with classic cars is the fact that many can be rare with few working models still in existence. This is why classic cars continue to prove popular among motor enthusiasts, with a large number of shows across the UK. Silverstone Classic Weekend
This is undoubtedly one of the biggest events in the motoring calendar and one you should be visiting if you are a motor enthusiast. It has been referred to as the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival and is located at the iconic Silverstone motor racing circuit. The event takes place over three days and there is much more going on than just viewing classic cars. There will be motor racing events and air displays taking place throughout the day, along with live music in the evening and plenty more. The event takes place between July 28th – 30th and is unmissable for motor enthusiasts.

Heveningham Hall Concours
Another fantastic event that you should attend this summer is the Heveningham Hall Concours d’Elegance. The event sees some of the world’s finest and rarest motor cars brought together and displayed amongst the fantastic backdrop and grounds of Heveningham Hall. The will also be a display of some of the world’s finest propeller planes on show too at the event. The event also coincides with the annual county fair at Heveningham Hall, which offers a whole host of other events to enjoy. Taking place on the 8th & 9th of July, the event sees around 20,000 people attend each year so make sure you get down there.

Goodwood Revival
A must attend for any classic car enthusiast is the Goodwood Revival as the event celebrates the decorated history of the Goodwood circuit. It is one of the biggest events in the motoring calendar and is staged entirely in period dress as a throwback to days gone by. There is a strict dress code of tweeds and trilbies for men and furs and frocks for ladies, with a refusal to allow modern cars into the circuit. A range of motoring displays take place throughout the day but there will also be more to see and do over the road from the motor circuit. Enjoy drinking, eating and all manner of fun over the road from the circuit. The event takes place form the 8th – 10th September.

Manchester Classic Car Show
The Manchester Classic Car Show is a great event to attend if you are looking for the best in the UK classic car scene. There will be hundreds of iconic motoring cars on display at the event, including some of the earliest and rarest vehicles ever made. There will be a range of cars on show from the 60’s and 70’s era, along with some later cars and ‘future classics’ on display. There will also be a live rally display and the prestigious Concours event and automotive competition. The event takes place on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th September at the Event City Exhibition Centre.
