Week 42 : What’s new in Motoring
Week 42 didn’t see a lot of traction for the motoring industry but we did have some developments for Jaguar Land Rover, Bengala Automotive and Pure McLaren.
Lookers Jaguar Land Rover West London opens new state-of-the-art showroom
Earlier this week Lookers Jaguar Land Rover West London held a special event featuring the first ‘out of show’ debut of the New Land Rover Discovery in the new showroom. The showroom is the ultimate reflection of Jaguar Land Rover, offering customers a truly premium sales and aftercare experience. Over the last 18 months, the Lookers West London showroom has been transformed into a landmark building, visible to the thousands of people travelling to and from London on the A40 each day. Featuring a warm, refined and eye-catching design with a barista bar, ‘kids zone’ and lounge-style waiting area, it’s the perfect complement to the modern Jaguar Land Rover customer.
Bengala Automotive introduces the Privilege Program
European design house Bengala Automotive this week introduced its brand new Privilege Program with the launch of the F12 Caballería, a bespoke carbon fibre creation based on the Ferrari F12 but sporting more aggressive lines inspired by Ferrari’s own GT3 cars.
The project inaugurates the Bengala Privilege Program with ten specially-made Caballerías: their lucky owners are automatically entered into the exclusive club, joining like-minded people sharing the same passion for individuality.
Bengala CEO and Founder Shoghi Saeidnia said: “in most cases, uniqueness is a state of mind; we bring to our customers an interpretation of their desires, based on their dreams. Put it simply, we mastered and created a unique piece of design and engineering, the Bengala F12 Caballería, and ten special individuals earned it.”
Pure McLaren announce details of 2017 ice driving experience
Pure McLaren has announced its inaugural ice driving experience, taking place in January 2017. Set against the backdrop of northern Finland, 200 miles into the Arctic Circle, Pure McLaren Arctic Experience will be the only ice driving programme in the world to offer the thrill of the multi-award winning McLaren Sports Series.
The programme is designed to give guests an extraordinary experience on snow-covered roads and ice track. Like all Pure McLaren events, the exhilarating programme is tailored to the driver’s needs to help them achieve their goals, whether that’s mastering the infamous Scandinavian flick or building their confidence in challenging driving conditions.
Guests will experience the multi-award winning McLaren 570S Coupé,tackling a variety of track configurations, encompassing both ice and snow surfaces. The exhilaration continues away from the track with Pure McLaren teaming up with local travel provider Luxury Action to offer an exciting programme of winter activities, including a husky safari and snowmobile expedition. Accommodation will be provided in the beautiful Jávri Lodge, the former home of the President of Finland. Here guests will enjoy the very best of Finnish hospitality in a remote location nestled within the untamed Lappish wilderness. Built by Urho Kekkonen, the longest serving President of Finland, it is set amongst vast lakes and forests and is in an ideal position for viewing the Northern Lights.
The Pure McLaren Arctic Experience will take place from January 15 to February 3, 2017 and offers groups of up to 14 guests a three night stay. The event is open for drivers and non-drivers, McLaren owners and non-owners and will be the first Pure McLaren activity of a busy 2017 schedule.
