Chino Latino launches English asparagus menu

This June, award winning Pan-Asian restaurant, Chino Latino London, located on the Albert Embankment overlooking the River Thames and Houses of Parliament, will deliver mother nature to the table with a limited edition four-course English Asparagus Menu.

Created by innovative Group Executive Chef, Werner Seebach, this fresh, vibrant menu will grace diners for the month of June in celebration of British asparagus season, which traditionally runs from April to June. Served for lunch and dinner, the asparagus- based dishes will combine flavours from China, South East Asia and modern Japan, using only the finest British-grown ingredients to create some truly inventive and unique options.

Treat your palate to an explosion of natural taste and start with asparagus and edamame soup, topped with wasabi foam. The second course includes sesame avocado, asparagus maki roll and crispy white asparagus wrapped in katafi pastry, wafu dressing and black truffle.

Mains include the delightfully light and aromatic sea bream parcel, wrapped in asparagus corn husk and Werner’s stand-out vegan alternative grilled asparagus and watercress dressing. For dessert delight with sweet temptations in the form of inimitable asparagus ice cream served alongside a raspberry coconut cake, with asparagus and dark chocolate shavings.

Seebach told me: “At Chino Latinowe always use fresh ingredients which we try to source locally. Since moving to London, the asparagus season has always been one of my favourite times of the year – it marks the beginning of the summer season. In every restaurant I have ever worked, I have always implemented an asparagus-based dish around this time of the year and I believe that this menu reflects my journey exploring the flavours that this wonderful vegetable delivers.”

The Chino Latino English Asparagus Menu is priced at £38 per person, and will be available for lunch and dinner from 1st – 31st June.
