To tie in with National Vegetarian Week (May 16-22), we’ve compiled a list of London’s best vegetarian restaurants.

These are masterfully created by Ottolenghi’s protégé think Charred leeks, chilli and agave yogurt, crispy quinoa or Purple sprouting broccoli, sichuan and bitter lemon dressing or Braised spelt with mushroom, blue cheese and blueberries, as well as buckwheat crackers, burnt pistachio yoghurt, golden honey and Turnip tops, quinoa, wild garlic and spinach. These are serious veggie dishes served in a fabulous bar that also offers the best cocktails in North-East London.

With a new spring/summer menu that caters for all, vegetarian favourites include the flavoursome Moroccan Spiced Paneer, Halloumi & Tofu Skewers (£13.90), served on a salad of bulgur wheat, quinoa, fresh edamame beans and roasted red, yellow and piquillo peppers, sprinkled with pomegranate seeds, spring onion and watercress, doused in a homemade teriyaki dressing. Guests can also opt for the Sundried Tomato, Manzanilla Olive and Mozzarella Risotto Cakes (£14.20), a vegetarian feast to be reckoned with. This creative concoction is complete with a nutritious Mediterranean caponata, an eggplant dish originating from Sicily, and finished with a sprinkle of fresh watercress.
