Skylounge launches tasty new winter cocktail menu

By LLM Reporters   |

Skylounge, one of London’s finest rooftop bars, has just launched its lavish new winter cocktail menu.

Curated by Skylounge’s team of talented mixologists the new cocktail list is creative and complex – reinventing some of the classics, as well as tempting you to indulge in both new and wintery flavours, with sophisticated combinations.

Featuring warming winter spirits and festive spices, highlights include a signature Christmas cocktail ‘The Green Hour’ with hints of cinnamon and anise and a dash of Absinth; and the delicate‘Snow Queen Martini’ which blends Snow Queen Vodka with the finest herb flavours from Lillet Blanc and sweet mandarin from Mandarin Napoleon, to create a smooth and delicately balanced winter taste.

Situated in the heart of the city and perched on the 12th floor of the DoubleTree Hilton, Tower Hill, Skylounge is the perfect spot to watch the city light up as the winter nights draw in, cocktail in hand.

A few of the highlights will include the following:

THE GREEN HOUR
A soft and delicate blend of classic and more contemporary Christmas flavours. Hendricks Gin, Bison Grass Vodka, elderflower, apple Juice and a dash of Absinth. Cinnamon and apple come together with anise and cucumber to create a subtle taste of the festive season.

SNOW QUEEN MARTINI
An Homage to the Wet Martini. This drink blends Snow Queen Vodka, finest herb flavours from Lillet Blanc and the sweet mandarin from Mandarin Napoleon with a dash of bitters to create a smooth and delicately balanced winter taste.

AZZURO SOUR
The Summer Hit comes back to storm the Winter Scene. Johnny Walker Black Label, Cointreau & elderflower joined together in a foamy harmony of egg white, topped up with our favourite Peroni Nastro Azzurro. Interesting, captivating and different.

OLD TOM’S FINEST
A smooth and creamy blend with a sweet herby finish, this drink is a very well balanced if slightly unusual winter cocktail. Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, Green Chartreuse, lemon, sugar, a little bit of cream and egg white for the perfect wintery foam.

RUM & RAISINS
A balanced mix of Diplomatico, Brugal and Pyrat rum, touch of Cherry Brandy and a gentle sweetness of sugar. Stirred with passion and garnished with rum soaked raisins.

Skylounge is a luxury rooftop bar atop DoubleTree by Hilton at Tower Bridge, which offers both indoor and outdoor seating. 12 floors up, it boasts spectacular vistas of the city, including unbeatable views of The Shard, The Gherkin and Tower Bridge.
