A blend of 17 grape varieties, the cuvée rosé is a perfect marriage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines, which have been left to mature for more than eight years. Tasked with finding a Champagne fit for a queen, Florens-Louis Heidsieck presented his first cuvee to Marie Antoinette, PIPER- HEIDSIECK’s first Brand Ambassador. The Champagne reflects this royal history, presented in an elegant box made of lacquered black wood and emblazoned with a rose crown.

Nothing says ‘Happy New Year’ quite like a bottle of chilled Champagne, and Charles Legend, Brut Royal NV is a great way to celebrate and pair with some fine foods too. If you are looking for sweet Lambrusco that oozes ripe jelly flavours, you will have to look elsewhere! This wine is a world apart with its fresh and wonderfully stylish personality. Despite some gentle fruit sweetness on its core, this wine finishes dry and clean. Only 11,894 bottles were produced of this, which is wonderfully blush pink in colour with notes of white peach, lemon sorbet, a tinge of fresh strawberry and hawthorn.

This works best with salads, cured meats or rolled pork with herbs and a mild sauce. It would also work well with light pasta dishes, and some foods with a mild spice.
