B&O PLAY introduces new wireless headphones

By Bradley Wicks   |

Signature sound specialist B&O PLAY has today announced the arrival of a brand new pair of wireless headphones that will make you “fall in love with music all over again.”

The Beoplay H4 headphone was designed from the bottom up with an emphasis on pure materials, pure design, and pure sound.

These exquisite headphones feature a sleek, minimalistic design that looks effortlessly fashionable: clean lines and a focus on the pure essentials – with fewer visual distractions – give a sharp impression that’s not easily forgotten.

Danish designer Jakob Wagner spoke to Luxury Lifestyle Magazine about the complexities of creating such a sophisticated design: “The core philosophy at B&O PLAY is to deliver authentic sound – considering each part separately to improve and simplify an expression of purpose. So listening becomes an authentic experience for all of our senses. Our challenge was to express that through every detail.”

Effortlessly fashionable: the new Beoplay H4 headphones in charcoal grey will set you back £249.

While the design is simple and minimalistic, the efforts that go into producing such a well-rounded headphone are far from straightforward.

The Beoplay H4 headphone boasts soft lambskin leather ear cushions, as well as a lambskin-covered headband. The inside of the ear cushions are made of memory foam that adapts to the shapes and curves of the ear for a tight yet comfortable fit that helps to prevent outside noise from intruding on your audio experience.

The impressive build quality is continued with two aluminium ear cup discs, which are stamped, polished and anodised to enhance the natural qualities of the aluminium still further – permitting a strong contemporary finish with incomparable corrosion and abrasion resistance.

Adjustable sliders and a slightly visible braided textile cord complete the design, with the former being made from hairline brushed stainless steel that promises robustness.

A laser-etched B&O logo finishes the sleek design of the Beoplay H4 headphones.

The intelligent themes of simplicity and minimalism are continued with the Beoplay H4’s intuitive user interface that consists only of three buttons, a micro USB connector and a 3.5mm jack that is integrated seamlessly into the headphone’s housing.

The three buttons are particularly clever: pressing the center button will allow you to answer/end calls and play/pause your favourite music. The upper and lower buttons then control the volume and skipping of songs. Pressing the upper and lower buttons together will pair your headphones to your desired device by Bluetooth.

Finally, B&O PLAY’s latest headphones offer an impressive 19-hours of wireless music after just a 2.5-hour charge. And should your headphones die while you’re out and about, you can simply plug in the enclosed mini-jack cable to continue your audio experience.

The Beoplay H4 retails at £249 and comes exclusively in charcoal grey. You can purchase your pair at www.beoplay.com/h4.
