After a summer of action-packed sports, it’s hard to believe that the exciting year of events is nowhere near over after the thrilling action at the Euro 2020 football tournament, Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics and Wimbledon providing existing and new sports fans alike with plenty of action live via our television screens.

The next big event worth marking on your calendar has to be the Ryder Cup, which takes place at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, USA. Delighting fans and speculators alike, this notable event in golf starts on the 24th of September and finishes on the 26th and pits Team Europe and Team USA against each other in a series of matches over three days. 12 golfers are placed on each team with Padraig Harrington serving as Team Europe Captain and Steve Stricker serving as captain of Team USA.

Though Team Europe are the reigning champions after a sizeable lead in Paris in 2018 (winning 17.5 to 10.5), the hosting team are the current favourites, by a small margin. Fans of Rugby League have to wait another year to cheer on their team for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 as it has been rescheduled for 2022, however there will be plenty of action to get excited about at the Super League Grand Final on October 9th. Taking place at Old Trafford in Manchester, fans will, no doubt, be watching with bated breath as the championship-deciding game of Rugby League’s Super League competition kicks off. Kicking off in Bahrain in March, the Formula One season is well underway with a range of exciting races having already taken place across the world. There’s plenty more action to come with the season coming to an end in Abu Dhabi on the 12th of December and with a variety of matches seeing Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton on the podium, at this time, it looks as though this pair will make good bets for champion for this season.
