Five on trend women’s summer hairstyles we are loving
Words by Sunny Sahota
The UK summer has been one which can only be described as ‘part time’, scorching sun followed by pouring rain, that can make you feel un-decided on what to do with your hair too.
However, regardless of the cold to wet days, the summer period is a time to let loose with your hair and enjoy the season of holidays, cocktails and fun.
Keats Hair, a leading luxury hair salon in London, have listed the top styles for the summer that are on trend and will make you feel and look like a summer stunner, whatever the weather.
Take the chop, with a Pixie
Short, chic and a popular favourite this season with Hollywood A-Listers is the pixie look. This is the perfect hairstyle to make your cheekbones POP. A pixie cut could be quite intimidating at first, but trust us, this cut will make you feel younger and give your hair a natural bounce. There have been many great pixie cuts over time with the likes of Emma Watson, Katy Perry and Scarlett Johanson taking the chop and the results have been breath-taking like on Lucy pictured left.
Sounds like another dance move for the summer? Sombre is a close relative to the Ombre, however the colour is more softer where the colours meet. Many celebs started the backlash against the popular Ombre and have converted to its sister style Sombre for the summer. The ‘grown out’ hair colour look, with its subtle graduation from the roots to the ends is perfect for that modern twist to the ‘sun kissed look’. The appearance of dark roots is less harsh than before and colour seamlessly more melted together. A perfect mix for the summer.
Roses are a girl’s best friend
Roses are red, violets are blue, we love colour and I think you do too. A stunning look to carry out this summer is to add a hint of colour that looks like it has simply been woven into your hair. This beautiful 60’s style bobs has been modernised with the woven technique using beautiful hues of rose gold. This is a great look for those tempting to try a new bolder hair colour but are afraid to take the plunge. Instead the subtle woven colouring creates the overall look without looking too drastic as better for your hair condition. Kylie Jenner rocked this colour earlier in the year and it left hairdressers all over the world busy recreating the look and rightly so. Rose gold is a stunning shade and perfect for the summer. I mean who doesn’t like the sight of roses right?
