Scottish tweed jacket, suit, knitwear, and tailoring specialists, Walker Slater, has just launched a brand new Pendle Tweed menswear suit called ‘The Francis’.

This luxury jacket is a classic single-breasted style with a contemporary fitted edge. It is has a chic peaked lapel, double vent and convenient pockets. The double breasted waistcoat is wonderful worn alone or with its matching pieces — a sweeping lapel adds elegance to any outfit. To complete this dashing suit, the slim, flat fronted trousers give it a modern twist.

The history of the Pendle tweed goes back to 16th century Lancashire and two families – the Whittles and the Devices – who were known collectively as ‘the Pendle Witches’. They delved into the carding and spinning of wool, alongside poaching, stealing and supernatural tasks to get by. We affectionately know this fabric as the ‘witchy tweed’.

Jacket is £285, waistcoat £95, trousers £105
