Since 1978, Dunhill has released seventeen scents for men – and one for women. Step forward male fragrance number eighteen in the shape of Icon. This scent was launched earlier this year and was created by legendary perfumer Carlos Benaim (the nose behind the men’s version of Calvin Klein’s Eternity).
This latest scent from the iconic British tailoring house is much more complex than many of its past fragrances. Icon opens with a delicious blend of rare and expensive ingredients. Sleek top notes of Italian bergamot and neroli absolute intertwine with a racy black pepper, fusing the mid notes of cardamond lavender de Provence to add a unique twist of masculinity and originality. It’s seriously rich, masculine and easily my favourite scent so far from the Dunhill collection.
