We caught up with Lysbeth Fox, founder and managing director of Fox Communications – a leading luxury PR and marketing agency with offices in London and New York.
My car of choice
Well, my favourite car has to be my convertible beetle, back in the day, it was the old retro type in gleaming white. It used to break down, rain on the inside, you could even see the concrete of road in the flooring, and I loved it! I even ventured to the South of France in it, very Herbie – upon entering the driveway home it actually collapsed.
My favourite holiday destination
You are asking a travel PR! I couldn’t possibly choose, it would be like asking me which one was my favourite staff member. There are many places in the world I love to visit again and again, but I always say, it’s the company you are with that makes it special.
My gadget I can’t live without
My iphone…obviously. I am always contactable, if I am not in the office I am still connected no matter where my travels take me. The invention of the iPhone was revolutionary for its time. I love how Apple as a brand literally changed the game and continue to do so.
My go to fashion brand
I have recently found a new French brand called Sezane, gorgeous dresses, well designed and good quality. I also love the fact that as it’s not a high street brand, everyone isn’t walking around in the same dress that I am.
My airline of choice
Having flown most of the airlines, I now prefer to fly BA. Not just a patriotic standpoint but the points system really locks you in and the recent addition of wifi on board (pros and cons) are a win win.
My favourite watch brand
It has to be Cartier. I am lucky enough to own a Cartier Tank and to me it just exudes elegance and of course is timeless… (pun intended)
My favourite restaurant
We’ve just moved our London offices into the heart of Covent Garden and our new local is Balthazar. I have long been a fan of the brand – having frequented the Manhattan branch back when it first opened. In fact, now I think of it, we are located near Balthazar’s in both our London and NYC offices – lucky us.
My guilty pleasure
A decent cuppa tea and a chocolate biscuit. In this day and age, with all the wellness protein bars, you just can’t beat a good cup of tea (with plant-based milk, I am in wellness after all) and a milk chocolate digestive to dunk in…guilty, I sure am!
My favourite way to give back
We support two incredible charities at Fox Communications; WE.org, a children’s charity where they make doing good, doable and The Felix Project which tackles food waste in the UK. But honestly, my favourite way to give back is to give time to people who are starting out in the industry, a help up the ladder, an introduction or just a listening ear.
