Travel is certainly becoming more accessible and hotels and resorts are getting fancier and offering more and more to compete with each other, providing guests with once-in-a-lifetime experiences to create cherished memories.

This year is looking to be an exciting one with the openings of some pretty magnificent hotels coming up, so if you need some inspiration for your next big trip then we’ve shortlisted six of the best luxury hotel openings in 2020 below.

Mohegan, Hellinikon, Greece

After submitting plans for tender of the casino at INSPIRE Athens, a resort set to open in Hellinikon this year, on the site of Athens’ former airport, it looks as though the proposal by Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment is going ahead. With building work scheduled to start soon on the Athenian Riviera site, the complex is expected to bring in many jobs to the area with the casino licence set for 30 years.

Ed Wright from Mobilecasinokings.com, the leading online destintion for PayPal casinos and where you can claim bonuses and enjoy real money casino games, is intrigued to see what the resort will bring. He says: “This casino resort will really boost tourism to the area bringing an added extra to your typical beachside holiday. With a budget estimated at one billion euros, I for one, am looking forward to seeing what this casino has to offer.”

Promising a luxury hotel, entertainment venues, dining, shopping, casino facilities, entertainment facilities and more, this could be the Southern European trip you have always wanted.

Mandarin Oriental Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City (formerly named, commonly referred to as Saigon), Vietnam

Another new opening for the luxury Mandarin Oriental hotel group will be in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City to make 44 in the portfolio. Forming part of Union Square Saigon, a commercial building in the city centre, this newly renovated offering will be named Mandarin Oriental Saigon and will sit above upscale retail outlets. Sitting next to the Saigon Opera House and central to many landmarks, the location will certainly please guests.

As well as a great location expect to find six restaurants and bars, a fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, meeting and event rooms and 277 rooms and suites within the grand hotel in addition to the exquisite and opulent décor and top-notch service that Mandarin Oriental hotels are renowned for.

Xigera Safari Lodge, Botswana

Set to open its doors in June, the exclusive Xigera Safari Lodge in the heart of the Okavango Delta, will impress guests with its focus on sustainability as well as it’s excellent Paradise Island location. With just 12 spacious suites for visitors to reside in, this 100% solar-powered resort offers a pool, gym, tented camp and many excursions within a remote area of the Moremi Game Reserve.

The water camp attracts large numbers of aquatic wildlife as well as land mammals wading or swimming between islands in search of food. Enjoy spotting local wildlife from the comfort of a boat, helicopter, truck or on foot.

Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan, India

If you’ve ever fancied staying in a 14th century fort previously owned by royalty, then look no further than Six Senses Fort Barwara. Incorporating a palace and two temples within the walled site there is no way that you could not feel regal when staying here. Originally owned by the Rajasthani royal family, this fort, which sits a three-hour drive from Jaipur, now holds 48 suites in keeping with the traditional surroundings.

Dine in one of the two restaurants, which use local ingredients to whip up classic and contemporary dishes for guests. There’s also a bar, lounge, spa, kid’s club, fitness centre, two swimming pools and a retail boutique to enjoy.
