A first look: Hush Hush Glamping expands its scenic retreat

By LLM Reporters   |

If you’re looking for a place to escape to for a digital detox, look no further than the depths of Wales; with its sprawling bucolic setting ready and waiting to delight the senses.

Wake up to picturesque views of the vast Radnor Valley, 1,300ft above sea level, at Hush Hush Glamping. Hare’s Form is their lovingly crafted glamping pod for two, tucked beneath the expansive Radnor Forest. This luxury camping pod provides guests with the ideal setting to switch off from all distractions and spend quality time with each other in a scenic spot. Set on a 90-acre family farm, guests share the space with friendly alpacas, sheep, red kites, the odd hare, and the occasional deer.

Set within a 90-acre farm in Mid Wales, Hush Hush Glamping provides the perfect place to truly relax and unwind

The beautifully unique glamping experience in the heart of Wales has been featured in The Telegraph as one of the best back-to-nature UK breaks and also in The Daily Mail as one of five best farm stay holidays across the UK. And, what’s more, there is a brand-new pod on the way!

The new site has been carefully placed to minimise disruptions between guests; the two pods will be more than 130m apart, which is over five average swimming pool lengths. The 9.6m x 3.8m pod, with an expected opening date of November 2020, will sleep four to six people across two double bedrooms and one double sofa bed, and is perfect for those looking to leave their work and chores behind.

An adult-only escape, the new pod is perfect for groups of friends looking to spend some much-needed time catching up and exploring the spectacular Welsh countryside during their UK staycation. Hen parties seeking a rural escape will be able to book both pods to accommodate up to eight adults; and with all the facilities at hand, they need never leave the beauty of the farm.

Arriving in October and yet to be named, the new glamping pod will sit between two clusters of trees overlooking the stunning Radnor Valley

The new pod will feature its own kitchen with all the essentials to cook a tasty meal, as well as a fully integrated en-suite bathroom – meaning no trekking to the toilet in the dark! Large, panoramic glass doors lead out to a spacious decking area, offering sprawling views of the valley beneath. With underfloor heating and parking right outside, the pod contains everything you need for a truly relaxing break.

Owners Alice and Kevin Pond saw lockdown as a great opportunity to reassess Hush Hush Glamping’s plans for the future and begin their expansion process.

The new pod is expected to open in late November and will feature the above layout

Alice said: “Our first pod has been such a huge success and we are delighted to be introducing a second pod! Lockdown allowed us to review our future plans for the business and really push forwards with the expansion. We actually have planning permission for five pods but are only intending to have a maximum of three pods on site in order to maintain the ambience.

“The support and encouragement we have had from the community has been incredible and has really allowed us to move forwards in our journey towards sustainability. Fostings Farm (where Hush Hush Glamping is located) needed to diversify to enable us to stay at the farm, as traditional farming methods were unable to support us; the glamping business has been very successful so far and has allowed the farm to truly thrive. We hope to welcome you to Hush Hush Glamping very soon!”
