The Dogus Luxury Hotel Collection’s Capri Palace Hotel & Spa has been named the Grand Prix Most Charming Hotel in Europe 2015 at a prestigious awards ceremony held in Paris late last month.

The event, which took place on the 19th October 2015 at the Hilton Paris Opera Hotel, saw a voting jury composed of 22 international press correspondents and journalists from famous media titles worldwide convene in order to recognise the best of the best hotels in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The charming Italian island of Capri is known for its glamour and natural beauty, making it the perfect setting for those wanting to get away from it all and take a well-earned break – enjoying the height of luxury all the while. This jewel of an island has become a haven for everyone from artists to royalty, drawing them in from afar with its balmy climate and the natural beauty synonymous of the Dolce Vita.

The Capri Palace Hotel & Spa is set in Anacapri, the most authentic part of the island, and is the ultimate in cool sophistication with interiors which are not only elegant, but also a cultural feast for the eyes. Each piece is chosen by the owner from his personal art collection, ranging from installations and paintings to interesting object d’art which can be found throughout the property.

Guests can dine in the two Michelin star restaurant, L’Olivo during their stay, as well as the stunning Il Riccio Restaurant & Beach Club, with its signature white and azure-blue interiors. The only one Michelin star beach club restaurant in the world, you are unlikely to find such impeccable cuisine anywhere else, and the hotel also houses the famous Capri Beauty Farm, home to the internationally renowned Leg School run by Medical and Scientific Director Professor Canonaco.

Ermanno Zanini, General Manager of the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa and Managing Director of Dogus Luxury Collection said that he was grateful for the recognition the resort had received:

“We thank you very much the Prix-Villégiature jury for having recognised not only the uniqueness of the Island of Capri and Anacapri, but also the constant efforts of the Capri Palace Team aimed to make our guests’ experience the most unforgettable and most charming”.
