Already aware of stature and elegance of The Kensington Hotel in London it was to be expected that The Westbury, The Doyle Collection’s flagship hotel, located just off one of Dublin’s most popular shopping streets would live up to expectation. Spotless service with the tact of Irish charm, The Westbury is a luxury hotel that offers guests an experience that amalgamates old world sophistication with the vibrancy of today’s modern Dublin.

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, but more so also leading the way for luxury hospitality in Dublin, The Westbury is ideally located between two very different parts of the city. Shopping at your fingertips, just visible from within the property and a few steps from the hotel, Grafton Street is lined with designer outlets, whilst underneath The Westbury, the hotel boasts its very own quaint shopping mall for guests to conveniently explore. Just beyond this, guests can immerse themselves within newer areas to the Irish capital wth pop-up bars, independent restaurants and shops that appear each week.

With a handful of dining facilities that are stand alone eateries in their own right, Wilde just off the first floor and Balfes on street level attract a particular local clientele who enjoy fine dining, smooth service with responsibly sourced produce. Within the core of the property, The Gallery complete with fine furnishings and sparkling chandeliers, acts as a venue for the city’s most popular afternoon tea with the recent Christmas Tea selling out months in advance.

With up to half of The Westbury’s visits consisting of business travel, the hotel has recently refurbished and opened the appropriately named ‘Grafton Suite’ for large scale meetings, press and conference events as well as celebrations and receptions up to 220 people. This is too complemented by The Gallery which is awash with small, private meetings and houses one of Ireland’s foremost private art collections.

205 rooms including 27 suites, the bedrooms throughout The Westbury are both capacious and glamourous. Our room centred around the grandeur of the sleek and modern interpretation of a four poster bed with smooth, crisp cotton sheets. On the sixth floor, our comfortable large room also displayed views over Grafton Street and the rooftops beyond. Gleaming with dark marble and plenty of mirrors, the bathroom was generous in size with his and hers basins.
