Polo glamour on the Costa del Sol

Last week, luxury beachfront escape Kempinski Hotel Bahía hosted the II Costa Del Sol Beach Polo Cup. European Royalty, international polo players and over 1,000 spectators were welcomed to the palm tree-lined promenade of Estepona for a two-day programme of polo matches, VIP parties and gourmet cuisine.

Last week, luxury beachfront escape, Kempinski Hotel Bahía hosted the II Costa Del Sol Beach Polo Cup.

Four world-renowned teams competed for this year’s cup, with international polo players including Niclas Johansson, Andrew Nolte, and Carlos Piñaltaking to the sand. The competition peaked with a gripping finale between Pagani and Perlage, showcasing a spectacular display of beach polo, with Perlage winning the prestigious Costa del Sol Beach Polo Cup 2019.

Corporate sponsors including Bulgari, Pagani, Scapa, Ferragamo and Perlage rubbed shoulders with the professional players, the Mayor of Estepona and high-society spectators at the stylishAfter-Polo Party and exclusive Polo Glam Lunch. Concluding the social event of the season, VIP parties were held at Kempinski Hotel Bahia’s brand new Spiler Beach Club, where there was champagne aplenty and small plates of top-quality Andalusian-inspired cuisine.

The new culinary destination, El Paseo Del Mar, is comprised of three design-led restaurants and bars; from beachfront Baltazar and Spiler Beach Club, to Black Rose The Bar, situated in the newly refurbished lobby.
