H.R. Owen Luxury Hire and Chaffeur Drive celebrates remarkable first year in business

By Grace Cunningham   |

H.R. Owen has seen a phenomenal growth in demand for Luxury Hire and Chauffeur Drive – its two schemes that offer convenient short-term access to some of the most luxurious and high performance cars in the world.

The two schemes were launched towards the end of 2015 with a choice of five models, but huge demand has seen the fleet grow to 25, covering a wide array of different manufacturers and body styles. This increase is in response to customer demand, and allows H.R. Owen to continue to respond rapidly to any requests, at short notice if needs be. Customers can now hire a car for any occasion, with H.R. Owen Luxury Hire and Chauffeur Drive even offering seven-seat luxury, thanks to the Mercedes V-Class, and go-anywhere style with the Range Rover Autobiography. For those that want to travel in ultimate comfort, the collection also includes an extended wheelbase Rolls-Royce Phantom.

As well as providing first-class chauffeur experiences to customers, H.R. Owen Chauffeur Drive has proved fantastically popular with high-end hotel chains in London. By partnering with H.R. Owen, the likes of the Baglioni Hotel and Preferred Hotels and Resorts have been able to offer a full private driver service without having to employ in-house staff to do so. This allows businesses the opportunity to keep costs carefully managed, while still benefiting from the sophisticated and unobtrusive approach that comes with H.R. Owen’s vast experience.

Cars are available through Luxury Hire and Chauffeur Drive for every possible time period, from one day to a week, and even longer. One customer hired a Lamborghini Huracan for a whole month thanks to Luxury Hire, while a visitor to London wanted to make his month in the city truly special, and did so with a private driver and a Rolls-Royce Phantom to travel around in style.

Experience exhilaration thanks to the H.R. Owen Luxury hire fleet.
Top of the list for thrill-seekers is the Lamborghini Huracan, and Luxury Hire allows customers to experience the 610HP 5.2-litre V10’s performance, and acceleration from 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds.

Customers use Luxury Hire and Chauffeur Drive for many reasons, but one of the most common is a desire to experience a car they would not otherwise get a chance to drive or be driven in. As opposed to the driving thrill of the Lamborghini Huracan, topping the most popular models list for those who want to be driven is the Rolls-Royce Ghost, thanks to its luxurious array of materials, whisper-quiet drive and comforting ride that makes every journey a relaxing pleasure.

H.R. Owen has gone beyond the usual expectations to make some customers’ experiences truly special. One customer called with a last minute emergency, just days before their wedding. Another company had let them down, but H.R. Owen was able to provide a Rolls-Royce and driver to make sure the day went off without a problem.

Sharon Wright, H.R. Owen’s Special Projects Director, said: “We are delighted that H.R. Owen Luxury Hire and Chauffeur Drive have proved so popular, and that we have been able to bring a touch of the luxury lifestyle to so many people in the last year. The range of cars we now offer has grown so we really can cater for any occasion, and any time period.”

The cars on the Luxury Hire fleet include the Mercedes-Benz V-Class and S-Class, the Range Rover Vogue and Autobiography, Maserati Quattroporte, Bentley GTC, Flying Spur and Bentayga, the Ferrari California T, Lamborghini’s Huracan Avio and Spyder and the Rolls-Royce Wraith, Ghost EWB and Phantom EWB. Prices start at £249 a day for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class and £1500 for the Phantom EWB.

Chauffeur Drive offers the same choice of vehicles, with prices starting at just £60 an hour for the V-Class. H.R. Owen also offers an airport collection service, meaning your arrival in London can start in a relaxed manner – this service is available from £130 in the Maserati Quattorporte and £395 in the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
