All-new Apple TV set for October release

By Grace Cunningham   |

Apple® recently unveiled the all-new Apple TV®, with apps allowing you to choose what to watch and when you watch it.  The new remote also features Siri®, so you can search with your voice and a glass touch surface which can handle small, accurate movements as well as bigger movements.

The new Apple TV remote runs on the all-new  tvOS™ operating system, based on iOS which enables iOS developers to create new apps and games specifically for Apple TV and deliver them directly through the new Apple TV App Store™.  The addition of Siri® to the remote enables simplified selection, browsing and navigation with conversational statements easing the section process such as “Show me New Girl”. Apple TV will search iTunes® and further popular apps which in addition to playback control and on-screen navigation provide an all-round enhanced experience.

The new Apple TV will be available at the end of October from Apple.com, Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
