Designer jewellery brand Kiki Minchin launches new collection

Cheshire based jewellery designer brand Kiki Minchin has launched a new collection for 2016. Entitled “The Roxy”, the collection is inspired by designer Kim’s travels to the city that never sleeps, New York City.

Kim Minchin, the lady behind the brand, fell in love with the grid iron pattern of the city’s streets and the art deco architecture of many of its buildings.

The Roxy collection starts at £55 for a silver Roxy Baby disc and the Roxy Cage in gold featuring one of a choice of four balls with healing qualities is priced at £190. The cage can be opened and the ball can be changed (additional stone balls priced at £20) reflecting your current mood. There is Grey agate, green aventurine, rose quartz or black onyx.

The Roxy Baby disc and Roxy Baby Cage (available in silver, gold and rose gold priced from £55) are perfect for summer layering.

The Roxy’s statement pieces can take you from city chic to Boho, from concert to party, from day to night. Wear them with your leather, or your kaftan, anything goes. The Roxy is fun and alive with the essence of the eclectic period which inspired its creation.

Kim said: “Earlier this year, when we landed in NYC in the late hours we were hit with the news of David Bowie’s passing. Our hotel in Soho was situated right across from his Lafayette Street Apartment. The press were out in their hundreds and fans in their thousands, flowers candles and photos were everywhere. The atmosphere of NYC was alive with memories of his songs and his iconic career. Watching footage on the news of his concerts and lifestyle, I was fascinated by his Glam Rock era and the iconic eclectic fashion figures of this time. The contribution of New York’s linear layout, its architecture and its Bowie connection inspired me to design ‘The Roxy Collection’.

“I am really excited to launch the new Roxy Collection as I believe there is something for everyone. The smaller Baby Roxy perfect for more petit everyday pieces and the Roxy Cage and Discs make a real statement that will certainly turn heads.”

Kim launched Kiki Minchin in 2013 and her striking designs have proven to be a big hit, not just in the leafy lanes of Cheshire. As well as online at Kiki Minchin, her jewellery is now available in London’s Wolf and Badger which champions exciting new independent British designers, Islington based boutique Victoria Beau and Rocca in Harrogate. In her home patch of Cheshire, Kim’s collections can be purchased at boutiques including Rumpus Resort in Wilmslow and Runway in Alderley Edge. Leading lifestyle and Furniture store Arighi Bianchi, which has been a go-to shop for Cheshire’s well-heeled since 1864 has become the latest stockists of Kiki Minchin jewellery and lifestyle products.
