Here is everything you need to know for this season’s biggest trends, this autumn/winter we will see the most stylish colours, must-have accessories and coats you need for when the temperature drops.

Here are four essential trends you need to know for this season.

Trench coats

This ‘Westminster’ trench coat from Burberry can be worn belted over tailoring or open and relaxed over denim and T-shirts

The trench coat is a huge staple to incorporate into this season, not only does it make you look fashionable but also sophisticated. Take advantage of the look’s classic vibe to balance more daring elements into your outfit. For a great formal look, combine your beige trench coat with a pair of formal suit trousers, a white dress shirt and some black leather Chelsea boots. If you prefer something casual than pop on a white t-shirt, black skinny jeans and some monochrome creps to complement your trench.

Oversized scarves

We’re loving this Jura Tilden Lambswool Angora Scarf, which is available to purchase from Begg & Co

Scarfs are another key essential this season, specifically ultra-thick and oversized ones. The idea behind this trend is to wear it as casually as possible. You could simply drape it over your shoulders in a very casual, nonchalant manner. This is ideal if the weather is mild and no hint of wind is present. However, the most common way of wearing the trend is to wrap it around several times loosely around your neck. This not only gives full protection against the elements but also looks super casual and easy to wear whilst achieving the maximum style.

Denim

Denim is perhaps the most classic fashion trend of all time so it’s no surprise why it’s a must-have this season

Denim is perhaps the most classic fashion trend of all time so it’s no surprise why it’s a must-have this season. Although dark denim is midst popular, light wash denim is officially the shade to opt for this autumn. Lighter shades of denim are just as versatile as dark denim. So, why not keep your style simple by pairing your denim with a pair of khaki chinos, white t-shirt and white trainers? For a more formal look, you can mix business with workwear. Style your denim with an oxford shirt and tie and finish the look with some brown suede Chelsea boots.

Neon

Last season we saw men wear muted hues of sage, this season ditch those muted hues and add some neon instead. This season, the trend is all about wearing multiple block colour neon pieces. For a dynamic ambience, wear your vivid orange t-shirt paired with some light wash jeans and vans. You could also add a lightweight jacket to bring it into fall. To switch up your outfit, pair your tapered denim jeans and white t-shirt with some green radiant hue socks. Neon socks paired with tapered denim is fresh and cool.
