The Argentinian capital is known for its European-inspired architecture, vibrant street art, and passionate tango culture, and can’t help but captivate visitors with its infectious energy. One of the best things to do here is also the simplest; getting lost amidst its quaint cobbled streets and exploring the many  pavement cafes and antique shops of the charming San Telmo and Recoleta neighbourhoods along the way. But of course, no visit to Buenos Aires would be complete without taking in a live tango performance and perhaps having a lesson or two yourself. Sensual and deeply expressive, it’s difficult not to get swept up in the drama of it all, and it’s an experience that will leave a lasting impression.

If you’re a foodie, then you’re also in the right place, because Buenos Aires is home to many Michelin-starred restaurants, making it an excellent starting point for a food and wine themed getaway in Argentina – and for lavish accommodation, there’s no shortage of options.

Where to stay: The Four Seasons Buenos Aires is an opulent hideaway offering an impressive host of lavish facilities to guarantee you a relaxing and fulfilling stay.

The park is a whole day out, and comprises a maze of trails and walkways through the verdant rainforest, offering a variety of different viewpoints, and if you’re lucky then you might even spot some wildlife, including coatis, tapirs and a variety of birds along the way. To get even closer, you can take a boat ride to the bottom of the falls, or for extra incredible vistas, a private helicopter tour promises an even more unforgettable experience.
