We caught up with Charlotte Ricard-Quesada – the founder of La Fete, an award-winning event and luxury wedding planning company.
My car of choice
Undoubtedly, mine! I have a Volkswagen Tiguan that I absolutely love as it’s practical, spacious and a real pleasure to drive. It’s also a perfect fit for my 6’6 husband and our two Frenchies!
My favourite holiday destination
I love travelling around the world, but my all-time favourite place has to be the small French island of Ile de Ré, on the Atlantic coast. I’ve spent all my summers there since I was a child and my husband and I even got married on the island.
My gadget I can’t live without
I can’t live without my compact food chopper. It’s the best for throwing in vegetables and chopping them up finely. It especially comes in handy for onions: no more tears!
My go to fashion brand
I adore basics and classics of great quality, so right now I’m obsessed with Iris and Ink. I also love searching for the best quality bargains and investing in timeless pieces, which is why I love sample sales and stores selling pre-loved luxury items.
My airline of choice
I’d have to say British Airways, as they fly around the world to all my favourite destinations; but also because of Avios which allow me to get some flights completely free of charge!
My favourite watch brand
This is probably the toughest question! I come from a family of watch lovers (and I grew up in Switzerland), but purely for its classic and discreet aesthetic, I’d say Jaeger-LeCoultre.
My favourite restaurant
Relais de Venise in Marylebone, London, is my all time favourite: I could eat there every day. If you go, make sure to ask for extra sauce with your steak, it’s to die for!
My guilty pleasure
I absolutely adore watching 90 Day Fiancé on TLC. It’s one of the only programmes that my husband and I promise to watch together as we don’t want any spoilers!
My favourite way to give back
Definitely working on and attending charity events, as well as regularly donating clothing to my local charity shops. I try to do as much as I can, no matter which charity I’m supporting.
