The area is, of course, well-known for its winter sports and it doesn’t matter what abilities you have as Méribel provides a range of activities across its 600km of slopes. Enjoy downhill skiing – where 50 per cent of the slopes are blue or green – as well as snowboarding, handiski, heli-skiing and off-piste skiing and freeride.

Take part in private lessons to improve your technique with an expert, join competition camp to acquire solid skills to free ski and get into competition skiing, undertake slalom training, learn snowboarding and more to make the best of your time here.

When you’ve put enough of your energy into the slopes, you’ll be reassured to hear that there’s plenty to keep you entertained throughout the resort. From live music to figure skating performances, plays performed at the theatre to show for the kids and Christmas parades, there will always be something to keep you entertained. And when it comes time to relax, the spas will be calling you for a relaxing massage to ease tired muscles.
