Rosselli – AX Privilege: Valletta’s first five-star hotel within the city walls

Introducing a new era of five-star opulence enclosed within the Maltese walls of Valletta is Rosselli – AX Privilege. An elegant city that glows a gradient of gold hues, the city’s founder proclaimed that it should be ‘a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen’. This certainly rings true for Rosselli – AX Privilege, the first five-star hotel to open within the historic city walls from leading hotel group AX Hotels.

Pioneering an elite portfolio of hotels that are curated for superior travel experiences, Rosselli AX Privilege is the latest endeavour from AX Hotels. Embodying the elegance from times gone by and situated in the midpoint of the historic Baroque city, Rosselli – AX Privilege is a serene oasis situated in the interior of the Maltese metropolis. Offering a new type of exclusivity to the most discerning of guests, the traditional values of the original owner of the hotel – Casa Rosselli-Massa are woven among the carefully restored walls. Combined with his avant-garde ethos of the time as a 17th-century goldsmith and philanthropist, Rosselli AX Privilege is a hotel that thoughtfully combines traditional principles with a fresh and contemporary outlook.

Serenely located within the walls of the busy capital city of Malta, Rosselli – AX Privilege is the first 5 star luxury hotel in Valletta

Rosselli – AX Privilege has the vision to raise the bar for high-quality travel experiences within the centre of the city whilst elevating the city’s reputation within the realm of luxury travel. This concept can be found across the 25 designer rooms of the beautiful boutique hotel. Falling across six suite categories capaciously centred around space and comport whilst exuding luxurious touchpoints from Valletta’s rich cultural past.

The creative designers from Forward Architects have been recognised for their outstanding work to restore the historic property. Meticulously converting the delicate 17th-century palazzo, they blended the original baroque features with new contemporary touches. With a fusion of colours, textures and architectural motifs, Rosselli – AX Privilege incorporates the classical lines of Renaissance architecture with early Baroque styles for a highly distinguished finish. One of the most striking parts of the property where this is conveyed is in the ground floor courtyard which has been fully restored to its former glory, today it can be savoured as a calming place, away from the fast-paced pavements of the surrounding city.
