Cocktail of the week: Rum Runner

By LLM Reporters   |

There are several variations of the Rum Runner cocktail, rumoured to have been invented in Florida in the late ‘50s, but this Pusser’s version packs a tasty punch.

Ingredients:
25ml Pusser’s Rum Spiced
25ml Pusser’s Blue Label 40%ABV (floated on top last)
15ml blackberry brandy
15ml grenadine
25ml sour mix
15ml Lime
25ml Pineapple juice
25ml Orange juice

Pusser’s Rum Spiced.
Pusser’s Rum Spiced is available in high end bars and retail outlets such as Amazon and The Whisky Exchange.

Method:

1.) Add the grenadine to a highball glass over lots of crushed ice.
2.) Build all the other ingredients into the glass, except the Pusser’s Rum Blue Label.
3.) Finish by pouring the Pusser’s Rum Blue Label on top and garnish with a lime wheel.

Contains 2 units of alcohol

Pusser’s Rum Spiced is a lively, aromatic spiced rum first with distinct notes of fresh culinary ginger and cinnamon, followed by layers of orange zest and baking spices such as nutmeg and allspice for a warm lingering finish.
