Raise a glass to St David’s Day with the Welsh 75 cocktail

Today marks Saint David’s Day, a.k.a. the Feast of Saint David, and what better way to celebrate than raising a glass with a Welsh cocktail brought to you by Aber Falls, the renowned distillery located in Abergwyngregyn, North Wales.

Ingredients

25ml Aber Falls Violet Liqueur
12.5ml lemon juice
12.5ml gomme
Top with champagne or prosecco
Garnish with a lemon rind wrapped blueberry

Method

1. In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients except the champagne or prosecco.

2. Shake and double strain into a champagne flute.

3. Top with bubbles such as the Nicolas De Montbart Champagne for a soft fruity, floral note or the Fortnum’s Prosecco for a light hint of white peach, apricot and melon.

4. Gently stir and then garnish.
