ZUMA takes a Cornish summer break at The Idle Rocks

By LLM Reporters   |

Top luxury Cornish retreat The Idle Rocks is hosting the international, award-winning Knightsbridge restaurant, ZUMA, for a two-night culinary experience, set within the hotel’s seaside restaurant.

On the evenings of the 21st and 22nd of August 2015, ZUMA will be serving a specially created menu at The Idle Rocks. Authentic but not traditional, the modern Japanese menu will reflect ZUMA’s ‘izakaya’ style of dining, using local Cornish produce.

Staying true to Co-founder and Creator Rainer Becker’s sharing concept, the menu will feature iconic ZUMA dishes, showcasing the best of Cornwall’s seafood, paired with matching wines and sakes. For example, sliced yellowtail with green chilli relish, ponzu and pickled garlic; marinated black cod wrapped in hoba leaf and roasted Cornish lobster with green chilli, garlic and hojiso butter will be available.

A set menu for two at ‘ZUMA at The Idle Rocks’ on Friday 21st or Saturday 22nd August 2015 is priced at £95 per person and includes a selection of wines. Room rates at The Idle Rocks start from £200 based on two people sharing a Harbour View Room, including breakfast.

Voted in the “50 Best Beach Hotels in Europe 2014″ by the Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Idle Rocks’ restaurant and outdoor terrace overlook the picturesque St Mawes harbour. The hotel offers 19 individually designed bedrooms, each with its own, unique style and charm.
