We caught up with Sommer Ray, the Canadian model and founder of premium skincare and hair brand IMARAÏS Beauty.
Sommer comes from humble beginnings, growing up on a ranch in Colorado and helping the family with the daily errands. At the age of 16, her dad began to train her and soon after she started participating in bodybuilding competitions. She quickly rose to social fame, and now has a huge reach of 42million+ followers across social media.
Sommer recently founded her first beauty brand, IMARAÏS Beauty, which is also the first PETA-accredited ingestible plant-based gummy brand for skin and hair. It launched exclusively on lookfantastic.com at the beginning of August.
My car of choice
I definitely would have to say that my dream car would have to be a Bentley Bentayga SUV
My favourite holiday destination
That’s easy, at home in Colorado to see my family! Not only do I get to spend time with my loved ones, but also all the animals and ride horses. It’s such a great getaway and I always have the best time.
My gadget I can’t live without
I would say my phone as I love to stay connected with my audience, but in all honesty, it would have to be my booty bands. I take them with me absolutely everywhere, as you never know when you need to get a quick workout in.
My go to fashion brand
Besides my own fashion brand, that’s hard. My shop has everything I ever need and for every occasion, including workout wear, swimwear, underwear, even phone cases! But if I had to pick another brand, Free People is probably up there with my favourites.
My airline of choice
I can always rely on Delta. So I would have to say that, for sure.
My favourite watch brand
So, I do actually have a collaboration with the best watches in the game: Shore Projects. I worked with them to create a band for their limited edition watch, the SR Day-Date. My favourite way to give back
I’m super passionate about helping animals. One time we brought stray dogs from Antigua to Miami and help found them homes, and since then I’ve had this kick to become involved in all sorts of different animal foundations and shelters. I also plan on getting involved with foundations that focus on empowerment in young women. This has become extremely important to me. I love to surround myself with powerful women who always support and lift each other up.
