For those with a love of all things Alps – minus the effort of skiing or snowboarding itself – a newcomer to central London’s fine dining scene is sure to please.

Soho’s very first Alpine-inspired restaurant, Heritage Soho, looks set to get the hearts racing of all who can’t get enough of fondue, röstis, lobster, steak, strudels and more, while delectable cocktails and succulent wines will surely impress whether you wish to visit for a celebratory a la carte meal, hearty Sunday lunch, bountiful bottomless brunch, a post work drink, or pre-theatre meal.

This spectacular spot to dine and celebrate in style is a hub of modern European flair with incomparable flavours and much-loved food and a menu inspired by tastes of the Alpine region crafted with local ingredients from artisan producers across England and Switzerland. Expect a dining experience featuring classic dishes with a contemporary twist – the perfect culinary combination that will leave your tastebuds singing.

Sitting smack bang in the middle of the West End, a stone’s throw from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Tube Stations, Heritage is near to some of the best nightlife and London’s key ‘must visit’ spots. If you’re looking for pre-theatre dining or want to catch a few drinks before a night out on the town, this restaurant and bar is the perfect place.

Their cocktail menu has been creatively crafted by masterful mixologists using the finest spirits from around the world, and whether it’s a classic concoction you’re after or a signature blend, they’ll be happy to oblige. From mojitos, mimosas and martinis to a signature Alpine Twist or Sweet Dreams, you will be pleased with selection of cocktails available to you and wine and Champagne lovers aren’t left out with a great selection – including some Swiss wines – to be found on the wine list.

So, what delectable delights can you expect to be devouring upon a visit to Heritage? One look at the current summer menu tells us that seafood plays a big part in pleasing the palates of discerning diners. Oysters with a cabernet sauvignon sauce and tabasco; grilled half a lobster served with a fresh salad, fries, and butter sauce; mussels served in a garlic and white wine sauce; and lobster galore with lobster dumplings, lobster rösti served with guacamole made with fresh avocado and their lobster brioche bun all look like they’d go down perfectly with a good wine on the terrace.

The pre-theatre menu (served Monday to Friday, 5pm to 7pm) looks set to delight too and at £24 or £27.50 per person for two or three courses, served alongside a glass of wine, prosecco, or beer, this is a great value meal. Expect to be tucking into steak tartare; truffle dumplings filled with a house-made ricotta cheese mix; a traditional Raclette plate; kale and cherry tomato spaetzle and much more.

The à la carte menu is ready and waiting for when you wish to treat yourself and boasts a range of Alpine flavours for you to enjoy. As well as the classic fondues and raclette, you can order a range of quality steaks in a variety of cuts including sirloin, ribeye, fillet, and T bone and paired with the house-made sauces of blue cheese, peppercorn, Béarnaise or bone marrow, it’s sure to be divine. Other highlights include the breaded camembert, pan-fried trout, and crispy duck breast.

Bottomless brunches are all the rage and Heritage has created an epic offering for weekend treats featuring three courses and the option to add bottomless fizz, beers, cocktails, or Champagne.

Starters include a choice of three delicious röstis: The Rösti Benedict which is a bed of smoked bacon topped with a perfectly poached egg and hollandaise sauce, the Rösti Royale with smoked trout, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce and the Rösti Florentine which is a bed of spinach topped with a poached egg.

Moving onto the main, the star of any alpine restaurant – the cheese fondue. Made in the traditional Swiss way, moitié-moitié, using a blend of Vacherin Fribourgeois and Gruyere cheese sourced from Switzerland, this dish is sure to satisfy all cheese lovers. Served with side dishes of fresh baby potatoes, cubed ciabatta bread and picked cornichons, you’ll have the perfect items for dipping and, if you are a truffle fan, for £4.50 per person, you can opt for a version infused with freshly ground truffle.

For dessert, expect a fresh fondue pot with a sweet sensation simmering over the burner. You’ll be full of excitement at the table as the chocolate fondue accompanied by freshly chopped strawberries and other seasonal fruit with house-made marshmallows is set down in front of you. You’ll be living your own chocolate fondue party fantasy as you crowd over the cooker.

If you are all ‘fondued’ out, you can also opt for another one of their delicious desserts including some scrumptious pastries and cakes. The sticky toffee and caramel fondant or black sesame strudel are great choices and included in this three-course menu.

Visiting on Sunday? You can enjoy a hearty Sunday Roast option for your main course instead of the fondue and you won’t be disappointed. Picture a giant Yorkshire pudding filled with beef sirloin accompanied by an entourage of roast vegetables and stuffing with pork belly or portobello mushroom – the perfect way to end the week!

Being in the centre of the action in London and offering such a versatile space in this modern restaurant and cocktail bar, Heritage lends itself well to playing host to a range of private events to suit.

From corporate networking events, product launches, pitches, and parties to birthdays, engagement and wedding celebrations, and other special occasions, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere within that reflects the location in the heart of Soho while taking influence from their alpine heritage. Colourful commissioned artwork upon the walls, a wide variety of theatrical cocktails crafted by mixologists, and a unique culinary experience are sure will transport guests into the heart of the Alps and modern Europe.
